HEY! (please excuse the brevity but lots of shots arent getting critiques at all this week)
This looks a lot like another cat shot I critiqued earlier. Very similar composition. I actually like this one because of the color. That green eye is perfectly placed. Here are my complaints. Focus - parts of it (esp the nose) seem soft which is probably due to the aperture. Was this on purpose? If you're showing such a small area of the face then I want it all in focus. It also looks like you might have sharpened. Sharpening fur (or anything with so much texture) is always really hard b/c it doesn't take much to look like too much. There are a couple of whiskers in particular that have diagonal jaggies (look like stair steps), and that bothers me. Quality is always a big issue with me enjoying a shot. Lighting is another one. I think this seems a little dark. Love the composition tho. Nice shot. Decent score - esp with such tough competition.

Great composition. This photo has tons of potential, but it has this noise/grainyness that really takes away from it...

Nice picture but would have preferred the lighting to not be so visible in the cat's eye.

Beautiful - you have captured the eye in perfect focus and the DOF makes for a nice contrast. Wow - that's one beautiful kitty!!! I can't believe how nice the eye looks!!!

I really like this photo. Good job. I like how only half of the cat's face is shown. The closeup is very nice.

Great DOF for this shot. Nice sharply focused whiskers and fur. The alluring green eye and orangish nose are lovely accents to the earth tones. Personal wee quibble would be a desire to have a touch more space around the nose tip. Purr-fect exposure. Great photo.

Should have zoomed out a little to show more of the nose. Lighting is a dark.

Nice composition. I like the catch light in the eye. I think this would be improved if it had greater depth of field.

Cool crop. I like it. Love the placement of the eye in the frame. Seems like it might've been oversharpened or something. Good lighting though. Would like to see better focus on the nose.

Yep, the eye is the important thing, and that is in great focus. Beautiful color too. I like the way you have just a bit of the whiskers in there, and the nose. I don't like pics with JUST the eye. Nice composition, well done.

This is my favorite cat-eye shot for the week. Very cliché but then it\'s supposed to be. Great Job. 7 Make that 8

My top cat this week! I love the composition. I would have liked to see more depth of field so that the frontal part of the nose was not quite so blurry. I think you might have lost some definition in making the file size smaller or you cropped down from a larger image after lowering the resolution. This is just my guess. Still, wonderful photo. 9

Beautiful colored cat. Great macro. You nailed this one. Look at that piece of colored part slice into the black. That's a clear phto when you can see that. Great one.
