Your comments on this picture seem to have covered everything, so perhaps I can sum them up.

1)Focus is perfect on the bird, lovely detail.
2) Colour saturation is great, the birds colours look lovely and the green of the plant sets him off nicely.
3) The background is a bit distracting, I see two possibilities here, one of them would be to have a closer shot, with only the bird and plant, you could either crop or get closer. The other option, if your camera allows it, would be to use shallower depth of field, for example using an aperture of f2.8 or f4 might be better, this would render the background as a blur and then put more attention on the bird and get rid of the obvious curtain.
4) Lighting is beautiful, very soft and natural.
5) Perhaps cover the sofa with a white sheet, to get a more simple foreground and bring more attention to the bird.

I am quite impressed with this picture, perfect timing! I have a parakeet and it is impossible to get him to stay still long enough to take a picture. Good Luck in the next challenge.

Beautiful bird! Less other stuff and more bird would have improved it for me.

My favorite subjec! Beautiful colors, crisp focus. The light shinning on the end of the arm is noticeable but obviously natural light. Good job.. Cub

A tighter crop on the bird would have been better, the subject looks a little too central.

Beautiful bird. Maybe could have got a bit closer and lost the floor and curtains, or cropped tighten. Not a bad shot.

What a beautiful bird. How fun it must be to own such a unique animal. Great shot. The couch does nothing for his colors. Try a white sheet.

Actually a very pretty bird, but I want a tight close-up with all of those distractions gone!

Pretty bird, pretty bird!! I don't like the couch color - maybe a towel next time? And a closer crop to get rid of the curtains ... just bird, towel and plant??

Such vibrant colors on that chair! No, No, I mean on that bird! He is just beautiful. You've done a lovely job in taking his photograph. And the Green jungle behind him complements him completely. Everything is in focus including the little band on his foot, even his little claws! I love thos blue feathers coming down off his back.
Just wonder that when you were cropping, could you have gotten rid of the floor and drapes to the right?

What a cutie. It actually seems like he is smiling. Nice colours. If possible, try used a shallower dept of field to blur the busy back ground. I still like this shot alot. Good luck.

Subject in the picture is too far and small.

Is the same one I saw earlier? Don't think so. I don't remember the blue on his back, (but I will go back and check.) Beautiful shot. I love the addition of the plant in the background. To me it adds to the idea of the bird. Great photo. I really like it a lot. Can't find anything wrong with it. Nice focus and really nice composition.

I think if you had used a larger aperture that this picture would have benefited. The background is pulling my attention away from the bird. The bird’s eye seems soft to me.

More DOF and closer crop on the subject would have helped. Also, the fabic doesn't enhance the subject either.
