Slick Lickby GraciousComment: This is one of many photos I have been bumping up a couple of points after adjusting my monitor. What I saw as flaws were actually my monitor's poor gamma setting. goodbye 4, hello 6 |

Aged Eleganceby GotchaComment: The fact that this shot got 5 votes of 1 shows there is something fundementally wrong here. Not to take anything away from the winners, but you had the best shot this week. |

quartersby g04tComment: Light sorce seems to harsh, the shadow hides the texture of the lower quarter while the glare burned out the texture for the top one. The ridge would have been great, but it was outside the dof. Nice concept though. |

barbsby jgibsonComment: This looks like one of those shots that is probably great art, but over my head. It was interesting certainly. But definitely over my head. |

Leaf it aloneby freetimeComment: I know that soft focus may be a matter of choice, but when you want to show texture, it just doesn't work. Soft focus hides texture, it doesn't bring it to the forefront. But that's just me :) |

Smooth as Grassby AaronComment: I must confess to dismissing this image prematurely in my first viewing... I said "another dang soft focus of texture"... I admit, I was wrong... This is the one photo this week tht made a shallow dof work FOR you instead of against. I think I would have liked it even more if the dof included that small patch at the very bottom... Kind of a 'sharp up to the cat' thing. Also, did you consider moving the cat (easier said then done, I know) to the 'third' point? This may or may not have been an improvement, just wondering if you considered it... Bumping you 3 points to a 7... Hope everyone takes a second look |

TX-Toursby Frank BeckmanComment: hehehe, someone HAD to do it... I give you a few points for humor, but I can't give you more than 4. If you had laid the tour guides out on a desert floor or other high textured place, the humor would have been that much better :) Thanks for the laugh Revised comment ~ If you could have found a 'cowboy' or farmhand at work and called it Tex Chores, that might have gotten higher :) |

Happy Birthday Dennisby karen_vComment: The cork board has some nice texture... But ummm... My guess is you just wanted a free place to post a birthday greeting to someone? Can I suggest www.pbase.com? |
