Good shot with great depth of field (I'm a DOF fan, but don't know how well it works in this challenge). This is a little close to give the viewer the idea of a flood...for all we know it could be a boat ramp or something. Hmmm...I guess the trees are submerged. I'm wondering if there was something else that you could have put more in the foreground that would give it more of a flood impact. Still, overall a very nice effort. muckpond

I think a picture of the full window would have been more effective. If it weren't for the title, no one would know what this is. By showing the entire scene, it would make a lot more sense to this challenge -- like it was supporting a story about Xmas shopping or something. muckpond.

Crisp and clear and definitely tells a story. The lighting is pretty brilliant -- makes her hair (please tell me that's a wig) and her pants look like they are glowing in the dark. There's also a slight bounce off of the lens, unfortunately. Great idea...good setup. muckpond

This does look like something that would be in a newspaper -- great idea! The lighting on the top is a bit harsh -- the eagle is somewhat washed out. More even lighting would make this a much better-looking setup shot. muckpond

This photo is very dark. The subject blends into the background. Otherwise, it's a fun photograph taken from a great angle. It really makes you wonder what the heck is going on. However, I don't know how well that fits into a photojournalism challenge, as those images are supposed to help illustrate what is going on. muckpond
