Happy Holidays!by timj351Comment: Sparkly! I think I would have tried to focus in on one of the light "fixtures" and then blend the rest in the background somewhat fuzzily -- there's a lot to take in here and one is really not sure what to focus on. |

Light of the Spiritby jmsetzlerComment: Nicely done...well framed and great focus. The blast of light from the altar window is a bit much, but otherwise a very well-captured moment. |

A Splash of Color by RackatComment: Gorgeous detail and a great capture!! This would have been sooooo excellent for the motion challenge as well. This is as good as it gets. |

House Finchby SwashbucklerComment: A great capture. The fuzziness and artifacting distract from the image, and the color seems washed out somewhat. |

Ilussion and Gestalt studyby dimitriiComment: LOL...I really had to look twice at this. It's unfortunate that the door is there...otherwise this would be a much better illusion. The shapes of the hangers and the rack are very strong and anchor the photo, though. |

Neon Twigby kandyjComment: This might be a more effective B/W shot. The numerous colors and harsh lighting make it difficult to tell what the subject is. It could be a really slimy worm or something, but I don't think there's enough of an "icecicle-y" effect to give it that post-ice storm feeling. |

Face-to-Face In the Snowby magnetic9999Comment: A great shot, and a wonderfully captured moment. The tree in the foreground is distracting, and I can't figure out why the squirrel's fur is so washed out. The tail especially looks like there was a lot of sharpening and/or color correction and it looks unnatural. Way to grab the moment, though....this is a great capture. |

Birds Eye Viewby spidermanComment: An interesting angle, but the pixel-y colors distract. Perhaps this photo has been oversharpened? Oh! I just noticed the bird -- I didn't even see that before, unfortunately. I just thought this was a shot of something a bird would be looking at. Maybe this would be more effective in B/W since the sky color is so washed out already? |
