this reminds me of the lite-brite kits i used to play with as a kid! vivid lights on a dark background--but with probably a little more artistic detail than i would have done! :)
technically a very well done shot. the clarity and color of the lights are outstanding.
composition is cool--but--i keep thinking i may have pulled the shot in a little tighter to have each of the tree trunks in the foreground framing either side of the shot--giving it more balance--and which would make the blue circle things seem to march straight down the sidewalk--taking the viewer's eye down the path to the rest of the lights in the background.
all in all a very well exectuted shot--i wish i had attempted more of these this season! nice job.

Like colorful constellations!

Wonderful color on this. i like the fact that we can't see anything but the lights. Very well done and good job finding this place. Inspzil

Wow! Great lights! You did a good job making them sparkle.

This is a great image

It's very hard to effectively put a bunch of Christmas lights on "film", but you did a very nice job. Looks like you had a better than average subject, but it is still very nice. Good use of the contrast tool to get rid of some unnecessary background features.

Great color and a very steady hand! Feels alot like christmas. There's something about the setup/framing that I just can't put my finger on, but it's not enough to really kill your score (esp. since I can't figure out what it is!) 9 Swash

Wow, tacky! It's a good photo, even if those decorations are way over the top :). The composition could be a bit tighter.

Ho, ho , ho!

I think I see a little flaring on the lights (and no blurring), so I'm assuming you had a tripod for this photograph. I wonder if you could have gotten a little more flaring with the lights, to make this picture really blow up. I've never shot anything like this before, so I may be out in left field.

Wow, hot pink Christmas lights! lol
This is a good shot and the colors are great, but it's missing that certain something for me. A solid 6, though. :-)

How long did it take you to light this scene? :o) There's a nice range of colours in this shot, but the dead space in the lower left makes it shot feel like the focal point(s) are on the very edges of the photo.

Very nice lighted shot. I want to go take pictures of christmas lights this year. Great colors.

nice work capturing only the lights!!!

Relooking at this photo, it's more interesting than my first vote, so you'll need a bump. The colors are very vivid, and the lack of tree branches gives a magical look to the surroundings. You have great sharpness on the trees in the back. Nice photo.

Good light shot. I would image it's hard to properly expose all those lights at the various distances.

A very nice night shot. Very clear lights, great color, and the blacks are great as well. A very nice "shade" of black. The angle and framing/cropping are good, and the focus is very nice as well. Tripod, I assume. I especially like the tree to the right that has all the little 'twinkles'. Good luck in the challenge.

Great colours and choice of subjects, however that's all this image invokes in me. Usually, personally I look for more than just technical excellence; this however could be just a cultural difference where Christmas is not as meaningful to me as it might be to other people. Great execution, and a good job overall, congrats!

I love Christmas lights, and this photo made me smile. I can't make out if this is a park, or a home, or what, exactly. I like the colors, and you did a good job of exposure getting the lights, but still leaving all that negative space. Something about the composition is a little "off" for me, though I am not sure why. Moderate to high impact for me. 8. lhall

Very nice colors. The framing is good, Nice Dof.

Wow, I wouldn't want this electric bill. Very colorful and nice exposure. What are the blue things on the bottom right? DPz

I like all the colors that are captured in this. I would suggest a small crop at the botton to get rid of some of the blackness and maybe resize it to something a bit smaller to give it more of a cozy feeling. The current size makes seems a bit overwhelming to me. = 6

I can't say I've really seen a christmas light picture I've liked... Until now. The only flaw in this one is the lights in the far distance that aren't christmas lights. I absolutely love how you can't see anything but the lights themselves, and how those lights define the objects they're on. Great shot.

pretty...looks like a nice display

Happy Holiday to you also. Nice. Love shots of lights and this one is very colorful.

Sparkly! I think I would have tried to focus in on one of the light "fixtures" and then blend the rest in the background somewhat fuzzily -- there's a lot to take in here and one is really not sure what to focus on.

I like the colors but the picture looks crooked to me.
