Storm a Brewin

Comment:
The highly saturated nature of this shot is dramatic. The composition is OK but not great and technically there are four trees and a rather disctracting pole. I'm afraid I also find the border rather heavy. Score - 5 (four trees plus a pole!)

Comment:
Sorry but I think this just lacks an enormous amount of creativity. The symmetry is not quite accurate enough, the verticals or not vertical and the lighting is flat. Also the background is rather dull. I hate being this critical, but the shot appears to be thrown together without any real thought, and those kind of shots don't do well on here. Being different and original can sometimes overcome some technical shortcomings, but you have to have at least one of those elements to stand a chance of a decent score.

This is such a nice image but could have been a definite winner in my opinion if the crop took out most of the distracting spots in the snow in the lower third of the frame. Then the use of negative space would have been more powerful with the starkness of the black and white being accentuated. Just my opinion, but I am reaching for the crop tool as I look at this. I think it is one of the best shots in the challenge but could be killer!

There are quite a number of these kind of multiple exposures in the challenge however I think several, including this one, lack some compositional focus. They are hard to control by definition and I fear this one is a little messy.

very innovative use of cropping to create a completely different kind of photo. Makes you look several times and I really like the effect and colours. Not sure about the title though.

This is probably getting some DQ requests. If indeed it is done within the basic editing rules it is good, but I find the photo subject unappealing

I like the vaseline smeared filter effect on the glasses but find the top 1/3 of the shot a but messy.

Interesting technique - like the high key effect and the way it fades to white. Makes a high contrast image more interesting like this although compositionally I think a lower viewpoint might have been better so the bridge doesn't dissect the telescope.

This is very effective and extremely well done. If we have to get pick, I suppose the glare of the lights, especially the one at 11 o'clock, is rather distracting. If we could spot edit you could get rid of it, but this is a lovely shot anyway. 8
