I think this challenge falls right into my new year's resolution of submitting more pics and getting more 4s.

So this is innovative, at least to me. After I figured out that inverting lenses makes for semi-interesting shots, I began looking for stuff that used it's bleeding off the page kind of feel more effectively.

I settled on this pic because I really liked how the lights crossed over the border created by the lense when I couldn't hold it steady.

Overall, I was going for an uncomfortable feeling of something very wrong in home town usa and I used the wider border to try to add to the feeling of isolation of the family. I made fun of the last artist who described their work like that. Feel free to laugh at me as well...I guess it's just tough being an artist.

Went back to try and grab a crisper 510 with my 20D but it was too dark to get the same effect.

As far as post processing...
Rotated 1 deg ccw
Darkened slightly
Cropped down and bordered
Unsharp mask at about 25%
Bring on the 4s.

A nice new technique, but would like to have seen more image less black.

Quite intriguing, almost like a pin-hole effect. Nice balance of colour and tone

This is very effective and extremely well done. If we have to get pick, I suppose the glare of the lights, especially the one at 11 o'clock, is rather distracting. If we could spot edit you could get rid of it, but this is a lovely shot anyway. 8
