Anthurium by GinaRothfelsComment: Handsome, quirky composition. The disposition of light and dark is also unusual and it works very well, especially with the lovely nuanced tones and patterns. The tight frame is well chosen. Strong image. |

Mowgwaiby GinaRothfelsComment: Did you add the menace or was it already there? The high key style works very well, seeming a transition into a dream. The fur around the hard-edged plastic face makes for a confusing contrast, which is absorbing. I like that circuitry gizmo within a circle within a heart above the eyebrows. Unusual and compelling. |

Dreamtimeby MargaretNetComment: A truly inspired overlay. The melding of sea and forest is beautifully handled. I love the freighted boat, the fencing, the birds and, especially, the enormous, overpowering sun, coming on like a locomotive. The blue wash is an elegant enhancement. Rich and satisfying. |

a little break.DSCF3032by mariucaComment: So casual and inviting. The drinks, chips and table are in the sunlight and seem to be of it as well. The building in the background emphasizes the mood. I like the choice of perspective that leads me to feel like I'm reaching for the glass.
Time for a snack. |

phone pic .. whattha .. !! .. ;)by rozComment: An incredible close-up. That you can see the eye to be compound is awesome. Everything about the image is awesome, and brings a renewed appreciation of insects. The colors are so straightforward. The barbed wire, too, is a revelatory sculpture.
[As an aside, I'd like to mention to you and whoever is fascinated by and concerned for the well-being of insects the Xerces Society. It advocates for the preservation of invertebrates, especially insects, which are too often overlooked and certainly undervalued. When you become a member they send you a quarterly (I believe) magazine that's modest but quite interesting.] |

Drill In Plasticby rodfulkComment: Whew! Involuntary shiver. This certainly is an eye-catching example of the admonitory essay you've been compiling. I'm glad you're not partnering the image with one showing the horrible results. I like the feel of a real workshop. |

Spider Plantby digifotojoComment: The spider plant is nice, but it's the window and beyond that elevates this image to something special. The colors are beautiful, tinged with the pattern of trees outside and mottled by the condensation. There's something almost unbearably cheerful and heartening about the bright sky. It's a key that unlocks the day. |

Sparrow Gangby pmichaudComment: What an interesting grouping of handsome sparrows. I like how the snow is in planes determined in color and recession. The blue and pink area is very beautiful, and as like a dawn or late afternoon sky as snow. Fine image. |

The Hawkby pmichaudComment: Fine composition. The colors and patterns take the day here. However it's processed, I like this very much. |
