Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, this looks soooooooooo good! What time is dinner? :)

This is a very appetizing photo, it makes me hungry, which is good, the colors are vibrant, clear, crisp and the lighting seems just a hair bright but overall very well done. The only distraction is the cashews in the upper left corner. I like the fork peeking into the shot, my utinsil to eat but the cashews throw me off, there are too many of them. Starting with an 8 on this one.

hehehe, your title made me think of that old 70's song and it sure wasn't about chocolate cake with strawberries, LOL! You have hit upon two of my favorite foods so that alone earns you extra points, :) THe shot itself is well done, outside, the green back drop is perfect, the tall glass of milk to help wash it all down, the only thing missing is............................the fork! How am I supposed to eat this? *sniff* The light seems a shade off for me, just a bit dark but otherwise a wonderful overall photo. An 8

I can't wait for the recipe on this one! Looks like something I can do with my girls. The cropping on this shot really works well for me, the overall balance of the shot is very good. It does seem a bit bright and slightly washed out, the light reflecting off the one can is what causes it the most I'm guessing. I like the reflection of the plates in the toaster oven, they look pretty and add a nice touch for me. This gets a 7 for now

Maple syrup cookie stack

Maple? It looks like blueberries to me with strawberry or cherry syrup, is my color that far off? I do like the presentaion on this one, the cropping is perfect and the syrup running down makes me want to reach out with my finger and stop it! Bet this was fun eating afterwards! A tad more sharpness on the subject itself (the left side is blurring out) and no border or a darker border so the top doesn't just disappear would have raised your score a couple more points. I start with a 7 on this one.

Buttery Scrambled Eggs & Bacon

I love eggs in the morning and that bacon looks just about perfect to the way I like it! The colors and clarity on this shot is wonderful but the presentation throws me a bit. Guess I'm used to seeing eggs and bacon on a plate with toast but then that's been done to death so your original presentation will earn you points. The smudge on the bowl to the left is just a bit distracting, and the tablecloth is pretty but again, distracting. I give you a 7 today.

Whens dinner? And where's the BEEF? :) Couldn't resist.

This is an appealing shot, the food looks inviting and ready to go, but the lighting is a bit harsh on the right and the overall shot is off, a bit tilted to the right. More balance, less light and this would have been a 8 or 9 in my book. Going with a 7 though.

Avocado-salad

I'm not a big avocado fan but this does look yummy! The plate is a perfect setting for the salad and the colors and set up are wonderful. About the only things that seem to be working against you is light. I'm betting you are outside and it's cloudy. I think this would look so much more alive and really pop if there was better lighting. I like the leaves for your backdrop too. Started at a 6 but bumping to an 8 because you can't control weather, can you? :)

This is an excellent take on the challenge, very unique and managed to get the animal aspect in there, WTG! The shot is a bit busy, lines here and there and everywhere that the bones are going but the different tones of the bones are very nice and offer wonderful contrast. I think I would have liked to seen at least one full treat in the shot with the others all over. I started this one at a 6 but I'm going to an 8, different cropping or angle would have gotten you a 9 or 10

Yum! I would be afraid to pick mushrooms though, my luck I would get the poisonous ones, LOL! This is a great shot, the light, the DOF is wonderful but the balance seems off to me, the big space in the middle is a bit of a distraction to me, maybe a little different cropping or angle of the shot would have fixe this for me. I started this at a 6 but am going up to an 8 because the overall shot is very good.

This looks delicious even before it's cooked, I can't wait for this recipe! The light is well done the the cropping could have been just a tad tighter on the right. The little blue glass figure is a bit of a distraction. I like this shot but am starting it at a6 but I'll be back to look some more and possibly bump it up
