I don't know how you select images nor how you take them - just one off that caught your eye? You took numerous of this scene and you liked this one the best? Anyway, what I am trying to say that I like this image even if shows a dead animal. The composition is great with just the hand not to take away the attention from the octopus. The unpleasant angle of the head and then the surprise - bay leaf? I found it very interesting even if somewhat gruesome.

Le vin de Beaune en Bourgogne, nice area of France, I went cycling there once. Nice selection although pinot noir is my favorite. I found on the Internet that you can buy a bottle of 1976 for only 44 euros! That seem cheap for 43 years old wine!
