Fall Sceneby jjbeguinComment: I'm just commenting and using a place holder vote this pass.
The bottom 2/3 have some nice colors and the clarity of the leaves are wonderful against the midnight blue water. I'm not sure about the fade in at the top. The intent could have been to show the progression of art(painting) to reality. I don't know so I'm left with whatever reason I can think of. I did try flipping it and it looks like the leaves are falling from heaven and with that perspective, I would be in heaven also. |

Nature is the most woundrous soft focus filter. It's not the lack of contrast in this picture that throws if off, it's more the dull colors but it does look as if the saturation was increased. Well. All I can say is you picked out a good scene but maybe the weather wasn't as cooperative as it could have been. |

Nice water spots on the leaves. The leaves have a pleasant color. I'm just guessing, but it looks like you used a soft filter. I really want to like this but it looks to dull to hold my interest long.

Yes it is serene, maybe a little bit to serene. The colors are pleasant. Would look good in a dentist's office. |

Winterberryby mcmurmaComment: I am only commenting and using a place holder score during this pass.
I'm on dialup so I get a slow preview of the picture starting from the upper portion. As I watched it present itself, I liked what I saw up until the sharply focused berry came into the frame. The rest of the picture has a kind of survival reaching feeling which is great. The white orbs could represent winter and it looks like fog all around. All of those things are offset by that berry. |

The subject is an interesting choice. I usually like this natural color pallette but somehow think that the picture could do with a little more brightness/lightness. But I'm only saying that based on a personal preference. I think it's the sharp contrast within the towers themselves that throws it off. |

This is very pretty. It's easy to see the photographer thought about the specs and sought out a pleasant place. The light building and light tree contrast well with the water and roof. A pleasure to look at. |

Country Sunrise by BradComment: Like: The colors are vibrant and the shadows and highlights pleasing. The movement of the central shrub implies it is windy. The colors are limited which makes the picture easy to look at.
Concern: the texture is to repetitive especially in the darker parts of the picture.

DSC06373web.jpgby dipaulkComment: Very festive. I agree with you that the green is a little out of place. The part I like the best is how each of the petals are highlighted. Nice work. Even though the texture goes with the picture, I would like to see it without it. That's a request, not a suggestion! So cheery. |

Lewis: The Master of Capturing Lightby scootafranklinComment: I liked this a lot and kept forgetting to vote on it. Then finally I got around to it. Really a personable picture. He does have that "come on, give it your best shot" type of smirk on his face. |
