VERY intersitng effect here - the way the image goes from pale to dark. I think I like it... it's beautiful. :)

I had first gave you a 5, I like the whole sceen, but what ever that is in the top left corner is. It just very distracting.

Very interesting gradient in the colors.
Not sure Impresssionism ever leaned this direction, but great shot regardless.
Well Done ! ((7))

This is great. The bridge at the top is very subtle and very effective. I like the way the shot is faded/washed out towards the top too.

The brige reflection is very nice, but would have tried a blurring or filter of some kind to mute the realness of the leaves.

I like the splash of color and the repeating patterns in the leaves. I wish the bridge at the top wasn't fading away so much though.

Very well exposed considering part of the photo appears to be in the fog. Also thedepth of field covers the entire photo. It really embraces the theme

Beautiful and colorful capture. Really captures the moment in an impressionistic manner. Subtle use of fading in the upper part of the picture in no way understates the attractiveness of your entry. Good job.

Wonderful colours. I love the fade out from bottom to top and it's a nice simple yet effective composition (9)

The curve in the reflection nicely quotes the Water Lillies, and I do like the array of tones in the fallen leaves. Photographically, I find it a touch too washed out as it moves up the image: I think you perhaps had enough here to speak of 'impressionism', without that extra push, be it from natural light or from processing. I don't know that I wouldn't have warmed the colour temperature of the whole thing a little either - it just has a slightly cold feel to it, slightly too far to blue.

But it works for the challenge, nicely, of course. The drfit, as the eye rises, from a genuinely photographic feel into a world of paint-like appearance (and a world I fully expect to see over-used in this challenge), makes a subtle point. Enjoyable.

This is just outstanding. I love the effect here done with the water reflection and just a whisp of fog. What a great eye. You are truly a master. (10)

I'm just commenting and using a place holder vote this pass.
The bottom 2/3 have some nice colors and the clarity of the leaves are wonderful against the midnight blue water. I'm not sure about the fade in at the top. The intent could have been to show the progression of art(painting) to reality. I don't know so I'm left with whatever reason I can think of. I did try flipping it and it looks like the leaves are falling from heaven and with that perspective, I would be in heaven also.

Excellent color - very Monet-esque. 9

A beautiful scene. Truly impressive. A big plus for not distorting the image too much.

i don't know if you washed out or blew out the top of the image, but i wish you hadn't. i think this would have been a dynamite image if the top was as sharp as the bottom. this would have been fine if you had cropped out the top two-thirds.

returning for comments:
A very nice and lovely image with very impressive colors. It falls short of impressionsim in that this is more a faithful depiction with a great variety of discreet forms. Regardless, it remains a nice and pleasant study. Bumping up on its sheer beauty.

Nice job. I am a little torn by the foggy upper edge and the clear bottom edge. I would have liked to see more of the railing as a diagonal in the main body of the image.

I like the sense of depth, and the color, but the upper 2/3rds of this composition just look washed out, and it really isn't conveying a strong sense of impressionism to me. 7

Reminds me of Monet's study of light ... but this one in one canvas (!) 10.

Oh wow, a great pastiche of a Monet. Very cleverly done. The difference between the haze at the top of the frame, and the very clear leaves at the bottom doesn't quite work for me... I think the top third of the frame by itself would work much more strongly... perhaps if you had used a higher focal length with the same effect this could have been really excellent. Still, 9.

Great work...the fade effect is very effective to bring out a range of colors and a range of emotion. One of my top picks.

I like the colours, not sure why you decided to have the top portion of this be a lighter colour. I think you could have done something different with this picture to help it in this challenge.
