 Shot about an hour before sunset. I had an x4 ND filter on my camera. I moved my camera with the flow of the landscape. I will probably score low for not having a boat or person in my shot. I like it as is. Brightened, contrast, cloned out some dust spots. I did not have a whole lot of time to work on this challenge. And I am not really sure if this is Impressionism but it does look like a painting to me.

This was my only 10 of the whole challenge. I loved the soft colors and the way the image flowed together. For me it fit the concept of impressionism brilliantly. I gave folks the BOD on how much post processing was done in this challenge. Glad that I did. This is a great example of how to use a ND filter to your advantage. Awesome job. 10

Great job meeting the challenge with this one- it DOES look like an impressionist (or maybe watercolor) painting, though a little somber. I wish the colors had been a touch brighter. Still one of the strongest entries. 8

Invitational Challenge Level: Experienced

Challenge link: very strong and my tip for a ribbon - probably blue.

Image critique: the painterly feel of this is very tangible and as such makes for a beautiful artistic approach without complete sacrifice of the original photo. The escence of the scene in reality is still ever-present, further enhanced by your sensitive post-processing.

Out-of-challenge appeal: total - will revisit for sure.

Very similar to a lot of the shots I took for this challenge! Unfotunately I rejected them due to the lack of any kind of focal point, and this suffers the same problem (though yours is better because at least there's something in the foreground).
A nice enough shot, with great colours, but nothing that leaps out at me.

Kinda missing a subject here. And i don't like the horizon right in the middle. Edit: i take back the statement about a missing subject. Although it would be nice to have something in the front, that's not the point. But i still insist on the horizon part.

Monet...Monet? Simply beautiful. I feel like this whole challenge is a personal museum tour and I don't even have to leave home. It was hard not to push this one into the one-of-three 10-slots I restricted myself to in this challenge. Each time a 9 was placed, it was for the most pitiful of picky things. I only could say here that the left lower corner appeared burned. Otherwise, there is nothing I could offer in critique.

To me it looks as if, it was softed brushed to blend. Only thing I would have done is..lightened the land area right above the left hand side above the water along the edge of the photo. Would have give it a bit more depth.

Like many others, the only thing bad about this shot is that it only partially fills the challenge. From what I gather, the style should involve some sort of vertical distortion as well as horizontal. But I like the composition alot. Good luck.

I am only commenting and using a place holder score during this pass.
Yes it is serene, maybe a little bit to serene. The colors are pleasant. Would look good in a dentist's office.

Doesn't really say impressionist to me, and obviously Photoshopped, but it is absolutely gorgeous. Have to take points off for 1st two issues, but will still put into favourites. 5
