Her Winter Berthby PenelopeKComment: Originally posted by tnun: the shrouds are particularly fetching against everything else shrouded. |
Thanks. I like that slightly lighter area behind the shrouds and made sure to keep that feature during the processing. The sun was starting to break through. We, that's bear_music and me, were right to go to the nearest place when the fog came because unlike early morning fog which you can kind of predict how long it will last based on the angle and intensity of the sun, this mid-day fog only lasted a very short time. Sunset at Nubble Lightby DeniseComment: Congratulations on this great finish in the FS, Denise. Lighthouse, sunset, water pouring over a rock all in a beautiful composition! |

Fishing The Voidby jagarComment: Wonderful image John. Congrats of the top 20 finish. Great sense of stillness and a beautiful capture of light. I think the fish tackle box adds a great deal, by providing a third plane on interest in between the man and the row of stone "capping" (if that's the right word). So your eye does a hop, skip, and jump from the wall, to the box, then to the man! |

Swellby MelethiaComment: Lovely. Wonderful point of view. I find it endlessly fascinating to watch and wonder if and when any given wave is going to break, even slightly. I especially LOVE the lines in the water on the left. I can feel the "tension" in the water there as it gets aligned and pulled up into the wave. |

An t-Eilean Muileachby taljComment: Lovely scene, colors, and processing. Length of exposure just right for the water. I wonder if that darker brown vegetation is bracken? |

The Red Doorby KarenNfldComment: Simple, almost abstract. Lovely. The container and the dead flowers seem rather out of place, no color and much busier than the rest of the image. But still a special picture. |
