The colors don't seem natural, so I am assuming the colors were tweeked. That said, this is interesting, but maybe a little overly tweeked for my tastes. The background interests me, if for nothing else, wondering how it was achieved. Challenge well met, decent focal range, nice framing.... Didn't like this shot very well at first, but it grows on you, plus I cannot really gripe about the photography skills, so I going to raise your score from 6 (bad first impression) to 8, favorable review upgrade! Fire is such a cool subject. I must be in a bad mood, I can't seem to comment nicely and this is a nice shot! (backspaced three times so far!) The challenge has been met, it's a quality shot, the fire plays into the concept well, I scored you as an 8, have a nice day! Swash

Dark image, very steep angle of attack, sharp light reflection (very distracting), disappearing strings (not good) and something unidentifiable in the right lower corner. 6 Swash

This is a wonderful image! I don't understand the cropping at the bottom, the metals are partly missing, plus the right edge of the shot has me asking why. Are the metals themselves a bit worn, I just can't see that as being a focus issue. Overall, nice job! 8 Swash

A very interesting shot. I like the fact that you got a couple of bonus stars in the frame, too. I can't see how this happened, most of the shot is terribly clear, but a couple places on the tower seem distorted, like under the circle that is divided into three sections and below and to the right of the clock. Could these be caused by moving shadows (trees)? Odd crop job in my opinion, but you must have had your reasons. Finally, the window in the bottom probably should have been cropped off. With all these comments, you'd think I was panning this shot, wouldn't you? (have I kept you in enough suspense?) 8 Swash

Is the photo "real" or one of those county fair deals? (doesn't matter, just curious, like are you in the photo?) Excellent capture of the gun, it must be in really great shape, it doesn't look very old (except for maybe the styling). Was the placement over the "ladies" due to necessity (space) or is there hidden meaning in it? It's just that the dresses seem to fit better than the uniforms. 8 Swash

Very cool! I esp. like the faded hand. This is the kind of added action that several others in this challenge needed, well done! In fact, this is sooo good, I have to award you two more points! 10 Swash

Simple, yet effective. I think this could have been a 10, with more of a story behind this shot. Some grain in the bottom, maybe some ground up would have told this story more completely. The background could be more effective for showing off the subject if it contrasted more. 9 Swash

It seems old alright, but I have no idea where/what this is or even if I am looking up or across or down. The outside world is overly bright, but I am certain that couldn't be avoided, considering how cave like the "beast" is. 6 Swash

Can't read spanish, but I think I get the idea! Very nice shot! I do have to question the cropping of the last two bananas, but the contast between almost ripe and way overly ripe is very strong. (poor guy had a tougher life than it's neighbors, just kidding, I know it's from a different bunch) Would you please offer the fully translated title after the challenge for those of us, ignorant non-spanish types? Very strong entry! 8 Swash
