The shot seems good enough, but I don't like your treatment of the subject and background. The angle of the subject and the view don't show me much. The gravely background is, well, nasty. I don't really know what to suggest, but mabye some different setups. On it's wheels with a prudy background might make a nice contrast, or a plain background to pull attension to it. 6 Swash

I like the candy canes, they look really good. The bear might be in focus, it's fuzzy appearance could be due to it's own fuzziness (did that make sense?) The gold ribbon seems "off", esp. at the top of the frame (what is going on there?) I like most of the rest of it. 7 Swash

Sad, very sad photo. The clutter of the background makes the subjects harder to see clearly. Is the fence referring to the title or did something bad happen to the child? If the fence connects to the title, it's a good thing, if not, not so good.
