Scanning electron microscopy...?by redpandaComment: Sharp with black and white conversion done well. The subject seems rather static. I wonder if framing with the light smooth blob more to a corner and on a diagonal would be more interesting visually. |

Wornby aliquiComment: Fiber sharpness handled well. Watch band or bracelet? |

redundantby LutchenkoComment: Looks like a rather yucky top of a toothpaste tube. White frame works pretty well. |

Silver and Goldby banmornComment: Excellent detail. Obviously a little bolt, but no clue what the parts are for. |

e y eby rooumComment: Perhaps a water drop refracting that dark line. Looks like the head of a tiny slotted screw but the edge is a bit irregular for that. |

Wondrousby RetroesqueComment: Looks like a bird's nest, maybe for a hummingbird. I like the use of selective depth of field to hold attention to the detailed central part. |

Trappedby hotpastaComment: I really enjoy the simplicity, with the figure and ground regularly reversing. Gives a dyamic sensation absent from most of the other entries. This serves both as an interesting semi-abstract image of fingers of ice converging on a glowing center and a detailed image of a warm colored leaf embedded in crystalized light. I had this at the top of the challenge. Appreciate hearing how much extra work went into the making. |

Black Dogby MelethiaComment: The dynamic quality of the dog with distant figures on a diagonal works well with the camera motion and excellent B&W processing. Glad to see I wasn't alone in giving this a 10. Wonderful to have it in the top ten despite being very different from the images typically up there in DPC challenges. |

hello? by LutchenkoComment: Amazing originality. Being able to see such creativity is one of the big rewards of DPC participation. |
