Snow at nightby olistComment: One of those shots that just won't look right on both platforms. Looks fine at gamma 1.8 (Mac standard), way too dark at gamma 2.2 (Windows). |

Leeby JSchoComment: Very well done piercing-look portrait. This could be a text-book example of the iimportance of catch-lights. I bet the one in his right eye is just a single pixel. Just try editing out that one pixel and you'll discover you've ruined the photo. 8 |

Love, Obessesions and Fixationsby mesmerajComment: High marks for a very original concept, but low for execution. Very hard to get a shot like this just right in a basic challenge, would benefit greatly from spot editing and selective noise cancellation (like NeatImage) on the glossy stuff = 5 |

Great concept, very well executed. Only complaint is that the DOF is a bit too shallow. Would have been even better with the whole pen in focus, or at least both the nib and the emblem - 7 |
