Just goes to show that art doesn't always score high. This is excellent.

interesting image - draws your attention well.
leaves it to the viewer to decide.

i personally an not drawn to an image of something oozing out of someone else's mouth. in my youth, i might have found it erotic, but after having children, it's just one more mess to clean up.

while i can appreciate the effort you made and what the image means to you, it just didn't have the same effect on me. all the same, dpc represents a very wide and diverse audience, and you should not let my reaction or opinion necessarily guide or affect your future efforts.

good luck, and keep submitting!

ooooh! This is VERY different. One of the few shots in this (huge) challenge that makes you stop and look again!! The Black and white interpretation is very dramatic. Only little nit-pick is the black "tadpole shaped mark on the bottom left. I think this should do well!"

Interesting...pretty disturbing, too.

I like the technique and the end result, but i hate the composition and the subject.

High marks for a very original concept, but low for execution. Very hard to get a shot like this just right in a basic challenge, would benefit greatly from spot editing and selective noise cancellation (like NeatImage) on the glossy stuff = 5
