Call Of The Wildby JeniYComment: I like the muted skin tones (post processing?) to give punch to the painted mask and the cropping to give the impression of the subject pushing out of the frame to freedom.
I fear for your score in a closely specified challenge where it could easily be regarded as DNMC, but it remains an accomplished photo regardless of your final score and kudos to you for being brave enough to submit it. |

Silver Pheasantby skewsmeComment: Came back to this one to bump it up because I really like the composition. Technically flawless, beautiful control of DOF and graphic sweeps of colour in the background lift this one into the top tier amongst some very strong competition. |

You'll Have to Shareby DistantColoursComment: Brilliant action capture and sympathetic PP to lift the birds into the foreground. I like the hopeful spectator bottom right too! |

Migrationby kawesttexComment: Great example of the 'bird in context' type shot in this challange. The black and white treatment adds to the cold and misty look. Definitly needs that number of birds to make the birds the main focal point of the image so kudos for waiting :-) |

Feeling Peckishby jrjrComment: Fantastic pose and you've nailed the focus. Interesting depth to the background as well. I don't mind the tail being clipped - I think the balance of the shot would be upset if the framing went out right. |

There's A Bluebird In My Heartby scarbrdComment: This is really nicely composed shot, interestingly framed with the tree and it looks like beautifully balanced flash to lift the brest and add catchlight. Great colour palette too. |

doveby jamesfraterComment: Simple composition but very effective and nice presentation in the frame. Good PP to make the dove stand out. One of my favourites in a very strong field. |
