waking dreamby JutildaComment: Loving the home made clouds in this. B&W is the right thing too. |

Ghost Moonby pmichaudComment: Very nice, just because of the ghost image. That's a reflection inside the lens, so it's at a much lower exposure level. Some lenses do that if pointed into a light source that is very bright relative to the background.
A UV filter can cause some ghosting with digital cameras by bouncing the light back and forth between the flat surfaces of the UV filter and the filter over the sensor. Most of the newer lenses and filters have coatings to help prevent this effect. I have a few older lenses that do this, esp when shooting at night and wide apertures.
In any case it worked for this shot to make it more interesting.

Body Surfing by KelliComment: I can't resist saying that it looks like she's having a ball. I like the tilt and the expression on her face as well as the bright colors in this one.
ETA, the popped up hair, maybe static? is a smile too. Message edited by author 2011-01-02 01:48:27. |

1-jan 2011 each to his/her own. eye to eyeby rozComment: Looks like this little one has definitely gotten itself into trouble. I am glad that it happened at your place, where it would be taken care of and not killed. The screen looks almost like one of your typical overlay treatments, except that it's behind the subject. That's pretty cool. |

Left Turnby GregoryBComment: Butterflies sometimes gather on wet sand to drink. This is a very cool looking close up, with the sand grains to add interest and color. |

Raining Sunbeamsby tangueraComment: This is sweet with the muted colors and the sunbeams continuing the shapes of the leaves and flowers at the top. |

Between Stormsby GermaineComment: Even this dark and foreboding sky fits right in with your moody side photos. It's good that you left the stump in the shot. The wide angle & f8
gave it a big DOF. |
