 last night it sounded like there was a large insect on the screen door to the bedroom .. katee our miniature foxy was whining and carrying on so i let her out a couple of times .. in the morning i realised it was a small ring tailed possum holding onto the screen & was probably too scared to get down and go to its daytime hangout because of katee .. they're nocturnal ..

there's a fairly long story i wont bore or horrify you with that involves katee being a terrier and WIRES .. the possum was ok .. :)

Poor little bugger...I take it it's safely in it's little home now...won't make that wrong turn again will it....lol

Looks like this little one has definitely gotten itself into trouble. I am glad that it happened at your place, where it would be taken care of and not killed. The screen looks almost like one of your typical overlay treatments, except that it's behind the subject. That's pretty cool.

Nice photo. Your photo is worlds above the photo you linked to.

My first thought when I opened your photo was, "Well that's a funny lookin' squirrel!" I have to disagree with Kelli's statement about US possums being ugly. Our US possums can be pretty cute too so long as they're not angry.

Glad the possum was okay. We mainly get brush tails here. We once found parts of one in our back yard - before Tisa's time. Our previous dog, Merlin was the culprit.

This almost looks like poster for a horror movie! Really nice border and the sharpness and DOF is spot on. The different view of him also adds a uniqueness about it.
