The Gardenerby RebeccaComment: I really like the colors and the point of view in this image. The bee is just an added perk, and helps to make the whole scene even better. Good focus and nice depth of field. |

Pirate's Coveby jrjrComment: This is a very pleasing sunset image. I like the color change in the sky, and the position of the boat in relation to the other pic elements.
As high as the boat is sitting in the water, it looks as if they are aground, and sitting on the bottom. |

IMG_9186 bush scene processed-s4w.jpgby rozComment: I am intrigued by the contours of the land here where the road goes thru the bank. I like the way you took the color out of the trees with this one, which puts more attention on the shape of the ground in the center of the image.
Where the blue sky meets the trees, the edges seem a little hard with the blue being so saturated, and the limbs so light at that point. I am not exactly sure about how it works, but just saying what I am seeing without candy coating it. : )
Love the way the tan soil and reflection split at the center so that it looks like a fallen tree trunk at first glance, and you accented that with the pp.
It's a very "bush country" looking image with the rural roadway and water. |

DAY 3. edited. kangaroos .by rozComment: You are making me want to learn how to do the Photoshop magic. What started as just an unremarkable image with potential has been turned into a solid keeper by your skills with the "fix it" toys. The final image conveys the sense of wild and civilization overlap that you were seeing very well.

Day 9 - Street at Sunset - Editedby Bruce_the_RobertComment: Good save Rob, and yes, the power lines that seem to be everywhere I want to point my lens are a real pain to edit out, esp when they cross thru things besides clouds. I think that in the finished shot, the clouds look great, so PP wins lots of points for a good job with that. You started with a tough one to repair, and ended with a pretty good save. |

MinimalDay2EditedWeb1.jpgby cogeroxComment: I like the crop, and the reflections are great. Somehow the left bird lost the black hooked part of it's beak into the tree behind with the processing. That's not a big point, but just something that seeems missing, as I am familiar with how the birds look. Usually in pics, their very bright eyes show up strongly too. I am wondering if these are the real thing? There are 5 species, and 3 major types in addition to the more common plastic yard variety. |

Cat Day 7by emily212Comment: This image will be a good one to try processing skills with. the eyes need some work, and the hi-lights on the jacket sleeve.
I generally try to take animal shots from their eye level, and it helps to make the animal look more personable.
I am waiting to see what you do with this one. Good looking cat. I had one named "Bear cat" that looked almost exactly the same. |

Star editedby MelethiaComment: You made a gem from a rough stone with this one. I need to learn about layering in order to present some of my images in better fashion. I like images with geometric shapes, and this one is full. |

Minimal Edit PAD 3 "Alligator and Turtles"by noranekoComment: Cool shot! This is a scene worth waiting for. They do this sort of thing when the water is cool and the sun is shining and warming a place for them to sunbathe. I have seen turtles do this in groups, and gators, but not exactly like this, all in a group. |

IMG_9324 outta-here-s4w.jpgby rozComment: That was quite a major processing operation. The selective desat helped get the focus where you wanted it.
You usually seem to post landscapes, which I guess is your fav shooting style. It takes a lot of practice to get comfortable and good at shooting moving subjects. I still can't rememeber to check all of my camera settings before shooting action shots like this. I tend to get excited about capturing the scene before it is gone, and just compose and click away. |
