this is original ...

this is an example of trying to process a badly composed shot and not succeeding!!!
this is katee after stealing the apple from one of the sheep .. she's running pretty fast, and because i wasnt able to catch her at the right moment this photograph is not good to start with ... i did like the humour, so thats why i started mucking around with it ..
these are my processing steps from memory, (never a good thing!!) ... i didnt intend putting it in the min ed project till after i'd finished otherwise i'd'v written them down ...
select katee and move her closer to the sheep and rescale her ...
i selected the apple from the apple in the other katee shot and brought it into this shot coz the apple she's holding didnt look real good .. i scaled and rotated the apple and selected some of her mouth and deleted around it .. i then slotted the apple in under that layer, keeping the original katee in an underneath layer so i could then merge the katee with the areas deleted, the apple and the original katee ...
i desaturated everything except the apple, leaving a tiny bit on katee ..
somehow i lightened the entire image but deleted parts of that lightening so the sheep's back wasnt totally white and other areas like kt .. then i did vignette and erased a lot of it around kt ... resized ... smart sharpen... border ... and saved for web ...

i tried cropping the lhs small amounts and then larger amounts till i had just that sheep's head but i didnt feel they worked ...

Wow, moving KT was something I not only wouldn't have thought of, but neither would have known how to do. Maybe there's a relationship there. I think you have captured a pretty nice candid mement in the animal world, here. I think a simple title like "Give me back my apple" would go a long way toward explaining the action and the humor. I think it's a great shot.

Editied to add: And now I notice that you have added just such a title.

That was quite a major processing operation. The selective desat helped get the focus where you wanted it.
You usually seem to post landscapes, which I guess is your fav shooting style. It takes a lot of practice to get comfortable and good at shooting moving subjects. I still can't rememeber to check all of my camera settings before shooting action shots like this. I tend to get excited about capturing the scene before it is gone, and just compose and click away.
