Rolled Up Trousersby amberComment: Great job! This has a great nostalgic feel to it! I am giving this an 8 because it meets the challenge so well, the technical aspect deserves merit, and because it creates an overall feeling of fun that I like to see in a shot. I loved the movement of the water, the whitecaps and shadows of the figures all work together very nicely. Again, great job in meeting the challenge! |

Stranded..by lentilComment: Great job! I liked the continuity of color between the sky and the ocean, with just a hint of light rays coming through the clouds. I liked the movement of the ocean, too. I'm giving this a 6, because you met the challenge well. I'd have rated it higher but there is something about the closeness to shore of the larger boat that doesn't seem realitic, and the size of that boat seems dwarfed un-naturally compared to the smaller boats in the foreground. |

Clouds and Driftwoodby KathycComment: Great job! Breathtaking! I'm giving this a 7, only because the clouds look a bit forced. I loved the little island rising from the fog, although the fog doesn't seem to continue to the left of the driftwood. Just doesn't appear even to me. It's a great shot though, and I loved the movement of the waves and the white caps. I'd have to button my jacket, as this one makes me feel as though it's a damp cool evening about to set in. Great job in meeting the challenge. |

Loch Ness...?by Ragga2000Comment: Great job! The reflection of the sky is awesome! I loved the ripple affect around the child, it looks like he dropped out of the sky in a single movement to create that ripple. Not very realistic, but creative none-the-less. I loved the colors in this, and the stillness of the shot. I loved the clarity of the water in the foreground, and the ability to see the stones through the water if one looks close enough. I'm giving this an 8, as you meet the challenge with creativity and technical expertise. |

To The Seaby yakatmeComment: Great job! I keep coming back to this shot, voting lower and higher and lower and higher. I'm giving this shot finally an 8. I loved the colors in the sky, and the movement of the clouds. I love the color of the tall reedy grass to the right, and how it focuses one's vision through the blades and onto the pink part of the sky. I loved the clarity in the flowers on the left, and the welcoming path to the sea. |

Hillbilly Yacht Clubby broadwaybillComment: Great job, loved the name too! I'm giving this a 6 for meeting the challenge, and for the beauty of the shot. It was the name that made this for me though, what a great sense of humor incorporated into your work! |

Na Pali Coastby jensengComment: Great job! I am giving this shot a 7. I love the playful light hitting the valley and the cliff face, and love the foreground setting the shot. I loved the color in the ocean, and the hazy feel of the sky, but the sky lacked a little bit of lackluster, or I'd have rated this higher. Good job in meeting the challenge, and for making me feel like I want to hang glide from this very spot and float on down to see what lies in the distance. |

Saving Private Ryanby judojoeComment: Great job! I've voted this up, and then voted it down, then voted it up again, and now I'm voting it up once more. I love the light-hearted humor in this, the remebrance of childhood that it inflicts, and it's originality in light of the challenge's theme. I can remember my brother bringing his toy soldiers to the beach with him and setting them up, which is why this meets the challenge in my eyes. I'm giving you an 8 for this one. It's not the most beautiful of shots in this challenge, but you deserve a score for meeting the challenge, and for the entertainment factor that this one gave me. |

Shells & Pebblesby susanhComment: Great job! Very crisp and clear, great color! I feel as though the swirl has movement, and is almost an optical illusion. I love the smoothness of the stones and the wet feeling of the sand and stones. I am giving this a 9, because it meets the challenge head on in my opinion of what it's all about, but it's not my favorite out of all the entries, so it's not a 10. It's right up there though! |

Low Tide by charliebakerComment: Great job! Great used of color, love the reflection! I'm just a bit overwhelmed by all of the blue, which kept it from getting a 10. Gave you a 9. |
