 Taken at Rialto Beach in Olympic National Park. Partly fog, partly sun conditions in early evening. Cropped and adjusted for contrast with PhotoShop.

Great job! Breathtaking! I'm giving this a 7, only because the clouds look a bit forced. I loved the little island rising from the fog, although the fog doesn't seem to continue to the left of the driftwood. Just doesn't appear even to me. It's a great shot though, and I loved the movement of the waves and the white caps. I'd have to button my jacket, as this one makes me feel as though it's a damp cool evening about to set in. Great job in meeting the challenge.

This has the makings of a great photo. Lighten and contrast the driftwood. Very dramatic.

it's a shame it's noisy, as this is a gorgeous scene...you had a lot to work with here...I would have liked a slightly different composition...the log is a bit too far off frame, and a higher point of view would have minimized it's dominance...under different conditions you'd want the log to be the dominant element, but given the mist and the very interesting sky, I think deemphasizing it would have really served you well.

The contrast on the driftwood is a bit harsh, though there isnt much you can do about that, unless you were to put a collapsable disc diffuser there.

The clouds and fog really lend an air of mystery to this shot, as does the driftwood on a "desolate" beach. Very well done. 10
