This is a nice image...his face seems a little out of focus...I always shoot vertical when photographing a single subject...and i fill the frame best i can.....if i end up with some dead space I crop it...maybe a little cropping on the right hand side would have made more of an impact....keep up the good work..looks like you are on to something and I hope this has helped.
