Towards the Lightby greenem2Comment: Something from nothing. Quite a trick! This could have been a mind-numbingly dull image, but the sharpness, shadows, angle, and that great flare from the floodlight (six-bladed aperture, I see) keep the eye moving around. Nice work. |

Up Where the Air is Clearby PatellaComment: If you weren't stopped all the way down, I'd have gone for an even faster shutter speed to freeze the string at the bottom. I'm sure it was humming pretty good, and it might not have been possible. The line higher up and the edges on the kite are pretty jaggy, but overall well composed and exposed, and having the string lead all the way up to the kite was a great choice. |

Working in the Skyby BAMartinComment: Another one that would work really well in B/W, or even better with the man selectively colored (all that nice blue) and the rest B/W. Noisy and jaggy as all get out, but that can usually be fixed. |

Mirror, Mirror on the floor....by cbonsallComment: Lavender on brown... my favorite. I see what you're getting at, and it's a valid interpretation - just not enough interest in the image to support the idea. |

NAIADby tomlewis1980Comment: Move the glass about 14 feet from the wall and you'd have something. It's a cool catch, but that flash shadow really hinders it. |

Got Toast?by arnitComment: Really cool. The lighting and placement on the toast and toaster is just perfect. I don't like the side lighting on your friend, though, and can't help but wonder how this would look from a lower angle. I think it would draw the viewer into the odd scene more to be a little under the toaster, and it would get the line of the mountains out from behind your head. Still... very cool. |

Fallingby janfriesComment: The hotspots keep it from being good macro, but it makes a good abstract and is really nicely composed. |
