In the momentby eye_clownComment: A very cute photo. Definitely a keeper and one to be shared. For me, this is more of an example of a blurred background than creative use of shallow DOF. JMO. |

From darkness to lightby TOYComment: I really like what you are going for here. To me, it sort of looks like the hand is going through an aura or the like. I really wold have like the foreground to have different lighting. JMO. |

R E D by gaurawaComment: Nicely done. I like the leading lines created by the blurring lines of the brush. Too bad this is a basic editing challenge or you could clone out the spot on the left. Overall, I think you've done well for this challenge. |

As life goes byby patrinusComment: I like the composition and the B&W. The shallow DOF works well. Some tough light to work with causing bright spots on the man's jacket and shadows on his face. |

Scrabble Vertigoby spart4cusComment: Not sure what others think, but I would have liked to have seen this with a portrait layout. I think that might have given you a slightly nicer composition. I'm finding the centre placement of the "A" tile a little static. The Shallow DOF is done very well. We get a good sense of the "origin" of the tile and the lose of focus on the tower shows that you aren't just going for a blurred background. |

The Peril of Peter Pumpkinby KaDiComment: Wow, I had this as one of my highest scoring shots! I thought this would have been higher. You had one of the most unique shots in the challenge. Good work. |

red veilby arngrimurComment: This is a wonderful shot. I love the red on red on red ... Nicely composed. Good lighting. Good exposure/processing. If I could change one thing it would be the crease in the material that hides her right eye. I feel that crease is a bit distracting. JMO. Overall, a very good portait photo! |

The Bats' Meow by rjksteschComment: The carvings are excellent. I like that you included a decorative pumpkin in the shot. I find the background a bit distracting in the photo. JMO. |
