I think that this may have been better before the sun set so low. If the sun was still halfway in the frame you would have had more light. The picture is great, don't get me wrong. But for the title, Dark and Light, there isn't much light IMO. I like the people on the dock. I think that they add interest. The clouds are nice, just not enough contrast in them for me. Maybe if you played with levels a bit. I'm not sure if you should mess with it at all though. Overall, this is a nice picture and good luck in future challenges.

Nice photo, with great details. This type of shot is very common. It has been done many times and that might be what hurt your score. Even though it is a great picture. I like everything about it. Maybe if you chose a different angle, like shoot the leave from the side with the dew drop dripping off. Sometimes if you just shoot the same subject but in a different way it doesn't seem so common. The damage on the leaf is not a big deal to me. It would have been really neat to have the insect that was eating the leaf still present! Overall, you the picture is nice, just has no "it" factor. Good luck in future challenges.

I really like your angle on the lights. I think that it is great. I would have liked to see "more" of the dock and I wish that the barge in the water wasn't there. But I guess that it would be hard to take a picure of a dock with no boats, huh? Overall, I think that it is a nice picture, maybe some cropping would improve it, but you have a good eye for interesting angles. There are a few harsh shadows, but maybe that was your intent. I can also see that this shot would be very neat at night with the lights on. I hope this helped you, good luck in future challenges, by the way...you hit the theme perfectly!!
