Going through some shots I took earlier this year, I ran into this one, which struck me as beautiful now (but didn't then!)

This is relatively unprocessed. I simply converted from RAW and adjusted levels. Camera movement (and snow) produced the effect.

I like it, but perhaps I'm getting even stranger in my tastes. What do you think.

IMHO, this is a beautiful abstract. I have no idea what the actual subject is, but the effects of the camera movement and processing are very visually pleasing. The tonal range is very complimentary and supports the "winter" theme well. The composition is also excellent. I really like it!!!

Neil, the shapes produced by the movement are quite interesting. On the right looks like a person standing (beige part as the head) and on the left appears to be the head of a cat.

Very strange image. Winter/snow notwithstanding, it gives an impression of "seedpod", like milkweed or something. I quite like it. Very mysterioso...
