I like the grain effect, it does give the feel of a newspaper. The picture itself isn't very interesting though. Could you have gone with a different angle? I know you are trying to show the beach and ATV together but readers trust headlines(sometimes). It may not have been necessary to show the beach as much. I think an angle looking up from the left front tire with the police officer looking down would have been cool. It would make him look more authoritive. Just a thought. I really like the title, one of the better ones of the challenge. Good work and good luck in the challenge:)

Nice photo. I think the headline would be a little better if it were simpler. Like "Yacht Race Starts Amid High Winds". If it is in a newspaper then it is likely to be timely, the reader knows its 2004 and many papers only publish a morning edition so the photo would actually be from yesterday.

I don't understand the title as it relates to the picture. If the picture had people then I could see the word use of Blood Donors but in this picture we see donations so how about "Blood Donations Avert Crisis" I like the picture but maybe a tighter crop on the top of the photo.

The newpaper would most likely crop the guy in the white t-shirt out of the picture, the bottom grassy area and the road sign on the right. Is the white thing the body or just debris? Also, this photo doesn't say body found to me. Maybe a headline investigators seek clues in local hit and run. Just a thought.

I'm assuming this is a joke but either way it is good picture that tells a story with the headline helping out. May have tried to not get the car in the shot but I guess that wasn't possible.
