Week 7by chris48083Comment: It's a great action shot with the cowboys expression and the bronc in mid-stride. However, it took a moment for my eyes to zero in on the cowboy and bronco as they are clumped together with the BG. Maybe some more contrast or DOF to get those guys to stand out. Or maybe, instead of darkening the BG... what would would it look like if you lightened the BG? |

Abandoned (b&w 2008 #4)by nikolaosComment: Looks like a stormy day. The darkness and the clouds accentuate the abandoned feel of the photo. Kind of like in the movies. Ever notice that no one never finds a haunted house in bright clear weather? I like the blurring of the waves. I assume that's the 3 stop ND and CPL. Pardon my ignorance but what does that mean?

Cameron Bridgeby BAMartinComment: Nice geometric shot. My eyes follow the guide wires right to the top of the bridge. Actually, that's not quite right... they tend to go from the bridge to the top of the photo where the wires are more pronounced. Seems opposite of what we are taught to expect, so I mention it.
Hmmmm, I just noticed that when I scrolled down I cut off the top half of the photo and then my eyes traveled to the point. |

Week 06 - Caffe Tossiby KenComment: Love the clarity and contrast which made the image jump right off the page when I first looked at it. I am unfamiliar with the steps for Transform Distort and the Nik Efex B&W filter. What are those? |

Week 5: Just lil' 'ole me :)by Blue MoonComment: ooohh grandma what big eyes you have....
My first impressions is the eyes. It's almost as if you've seen something that'll make you eyes pop right out of your head. |

Week 4: Happy V-Day <3by Blue MoonComment: Nice texture and detail on the flower. I agree, it's way over done but for a reason. Flowers almost always look better with water droplets on them. The detail in the BG adds a nice DOF. |

7- Twirlingby BudComment: She is precious. I remember when my daughters were a lot younger and they'd twirl and twirl to get their dress to balloon out. My first impression was that feeling of nostalgia that fathers get as they grow older. I never noticed the busy background, the slight blurring works well to separate her from the noise. Liked the use of the triptych to show the sequence. She looks happy and content, which is a good look for a child. For anyone. |
