My daughter loves to twirl in her dress. I think it is standard behavior for all little girls with dresses.

I got her to twirl for the camera and this was actually a nice sequence that I turned into a triptych. I know, the background is too busy. It was spontaneous and the shallow dof helps to minimize the impact of the background.

desaturate colors
adjust levels
adjust contrast
a bit of dodge and burn
a little USM and some noise reduction

Very well done! I really like it. I love the simplicity of the composition rather than trying to get all artsy with the triptych...it works tremendously.

This is so well done Bud, I think this one should be on your wall, in 15 years when she has moved out it will be a treasure.

The background is not a bother at all. This is adorable! You are going to have so many wonderful photos of your kids. I love how well she pops out from the background. The motion captured is wonderful as well.

Of all your wonderful images, this one is my favorite. What a great photo for you and your family to cherish forever. Personally, I don't see a single thing that I would change.

Bud, this is just fantastic! Your choice of image positioning in the triptych is unusual but works well, the location couldn't be better as it shows her in a natural setting doing what little girls do. Her expressions are just wonderful #1 preperation, #2 wow look at this and #3 I nailed it!

#2 is the winning shot for me as her feet are ballerinaish (look, I made up a word). Its a perfect sequence Bud and, rather than print the triptych get 3 8*10's, frame them and hang them like the triptych!

This is an absolutely wonderful triptych. You've caught the essence of childhood, and put it together for all of us to see. My daughter likes to spin and do "ballet". I think I need to get one of these myself. Your B&W conversion fits this perfectly.

Absolutely brilliant. So well put together. You captured a priceless moment here. I'm particularly fond of the middle photo - she looks like a professional dancer.

This is Classic! This has such a great feel to it, you captured of the essence of a little girl. Nicely put together and well done in b&w. The background, I feel is perfectly oof and well suited for the context of what she is doing, not too busy at all, imo. Well done and you got a keeper here!

Positively delightful! And the background is not too busy for me - it's real and it supports the shot nicely. This really is well presented. You also have a series of three of just her feet and the bottom of her skirt if you wish.

I like how you did this -- how it steps down as she twirls. She is so precious, Bud. I love that outfit she is wearing -- and the hat! I want to eat her up :)

The tryptich is what makes this work well, giving context to what is actually going on. Very nice.

She is precious. I remember when my daughters were a lot younger and they'd twirl and twirl to get their dress to balloon out. My first impression was that feeling of nostalgia that fathers get as they grow older. I never noticed the busy background, the slight blurring works well to separate her from the noise. Liked the use of the triptych to show the sequence. She looks happy and content, which is a good look for a child. For anyone.

Just gorgeous. She doesn't appear to be in the least bit self conscious either.

Little girls are so much fun! Love the way you captured her moving without blur. Beautiful b/w collage for your wall.

Sweet girl, I like the position of the images. The background isn't distacting with that dof, contrarily it gives a conection with a real place and not with a studio-like situation.

Excellently well done. Though the bg may be busy, it is pleasantly oof. The middle one is especially nice.
