A shade of blueby nico_blueComment: Nice photograph, with interesting lighting. Looks very similiar to the new Victorias Secert ads. Almost the same exact lighting technique. Most of the images in this challenge that attempt to capture an emotion or set a mood, have failed. This one is nice. I like the very dark mysterious shadows, and the body language says a lot about the mood. Very nicely done. Good luck <6> |

Bewilderedby banmornComment: Great image, with wonderful detail, and nice lighting. However, like many of the "face shots" in this challenge, I really don't get a sense of emotion or a mood that has been set. I try not to be influenced by titles and with this one, even the title really doesn't seem to help me out. <5> |

absorbedby byoungComment: This is a very nice image, but to be honest, it really does not seem to depict any emotion, or a sense of mood. It's a very fine image, with great detail and wonderful lighting, but for me, it just doesn't seem to be very interesting. <5> |

@#%&$!!!by grigrigirlComment: This is a nice image, with great detail and good tonal quality. I don't think the title of your image adds to it. In fact it is probably doing just the opposite. The image speaks for itself and one of the true, real, non-posed shots that sends a clear message of emotion. This, I am sure witll be in someone's baby album. <6> |

I am a Rockby NordlysComment: Interesting choice of editing. This image is very cold, and very still. Maybe very "solid" would be a better choice of words. The almost monochromatic tone to his image give it that stone like feel. Almost like a head stone. <6> |

Mrs. Robinsonby fifieldComment: This is one of the more interesting images in the challenge. The title doesn't really depict emotion or mood. The image, however does remind me of my youth and has a feeling of the 1950's (which is before my youth). I'm struggling a little with identifying any real emotion here other than "remembering the good 'ol days", and that is fine with me. I like the idea, and I like the way you captured only their feet and lower legs. The background is diffused enough to keep your attension on the main subject. There is that small bright object about knee high on the left which is slightly distracting, however. This is one of my favs in this challenge. I hope it does well for you. Good luck. <8> |

Melancholy and Infinite Sadnessby ColeyComment: Very nice image. Well photographed. I'm curious to find out if your lovely model is made up for a play or for your picture. Reminds me somewhat of the Comedy and Tragedy masks. I love the lighting, and the wonderful skin tones, and the beautiful brown eyes which command attention. I like the fact that the dark hair is lit just enough to seperate if from the black background. The only flaw with this image is not yours, but your models, and that is the dirty fingernails. I would however love to hear more about this image. <7> |

Speech Anxietyby pcodyComment: Without the title, I'm lost on this one. I'm sure your intent was to capture the frustration this person experiences, but in my opinion, I don't think the image does so. Only the title does. <4> |

YYYYYYYESS !!!by dave2119Comment: This is not the greatest image in the challenge, but it does invoke an emotion. I was there 7 short years ago, and I know exactly what this feeling is like. Clearly this is not a controlled photograph (lighting, composition, ect), which allows it to fall into the catagory of a snapshot, but as mentioned above does depict strong emotions which include 'success, happiness, joy, victory, and accomplishment. I may be wrong but I suspect this image will not do real well, but my similiar experience helps me make the connection. Good luck! <5> |

Anger Unleashed by Joey LawrenceComment: Wow. Interesting shot. Very little detail, but still an image worth studying. The mysterious eyes (or lack of) capture my attention. <7> |
