i'm not scrolling down to see what other comments you got, but i'm going to guess the biggest problem here is not isolating your subject enough from the background. one thing you might want to do when your out shooting in these is to really open up your aperture and shoot as shallow as you can. another would be to (and believe me, this is a lot easier said than done) get down close to ground level and shoot up.

nice idea, taking such an ordinary household object and seeing it as its own universe. can't say i'm absolutely thrilled with the hue, but all the same, it's not unpleasant.

there's a lot of potential with this, but i think this particular edition needs work. i don't think the shallow dof really helps, and the lighting is a bit harsh. the eye, especially its color, is killer, though.

great idea, composition. horrible, horrible colors. even in basic, you could have shifted the hues and made this into something more inviting and mystical...

maybe an interesting idea, but the colors are not that inviting and are actually rather hard on the eyes. when you set something like this up, you need to ask yourself, is this something i'd like to see all the time? if it doesn't really grab you, then maybe try something else...
