The cap of a Parker fountain pen. I inherited it from my dad, who bought it sometime in the '50s and signed thousands of contracts with it.

I'm almost not that much better off knowing the details! ;-)

Love your colors and composition! A handle of some sort?

sure made me look at it for awhile trying to figure it out. Not sure if the colored wood is actually part of the object or not, interesting texture to it also. Good lighting, anything more would have certainly ruined the classy feel of it.

Looks like a comb, but is missing the space between the teeth. Nice antique feel here with the warm gold tones.

nice colors, but somewhat boring composition. maybe a rotation would have given it some interest.

Hmmm. very interesting. I thought of some kind of instrument, but am most likely wrong. Intriguing entry.

The metallic part looks like a chopper for veggies, or maybe it's not metallic at all but the glass in a washboard. Cool lighting and colours and a good DOF to keep us guessing.

Kitchen implement? Whatever, this held up my voting by 10 minutes, darn it. Can't think of what it might be. And it's hard to be stuck in front of this photo for 10 minutes I can assure you ;-)
