Very nice image. Recognizable as to local. People included with activities for them. Makes me want to visit. IMHO, all those things are required for a 10 in this challenge.

This is an absolutely beautiful image. As a photograph for a travel guide, what is there to do? Who goes there? Where is it? I would have rated it higher except it doesn't answer any of those questions. A perfect 10, IMHO, would.

There are certain subjects that, unless photographed with specific light and very fine detail, tend to look muddy. The sides of buildings made from adobe, some smooth, light-colored rocks, slime buildups in caves - all of those qualify. That is the situation in this case. I'd love to see lots more definition, focus, detail or whatever. Everything just looks so soft on my screen.

Oh, man! What is it about these small, European-type streets that make them so attractive? I love the dark framing, the feeling of looking "into" a smaller picture within the larger framework, the detail in the bricks, the walls, the lights and the roof tiles. The contrast of the light pastel colors and the dark black foreground walls works very well also. Nice image.

This kept grabbing me and I couldn't figure out why. After I studied it for awhile, I suddenly realized that the subject matter behind the frame becomes almost secondary in nature, except for the perspective lines set up by the bricks, rails and sidewalks. With them tied into it, the subject matter is the overpowering shape and colors of the frame itself. The clarity (focus) and contrasting black above the arches with the red wood frames themselves combine to draw you into what is behind them - even though what is behind them is not all that interesting without them. Nicely done.

I always like images that are lit with light from within. This one is a good example, and the swirling smoke and scattering embers add to the mood. Nice image.

I keep telling myself, "You're not a voyeur, you're not a ...", but I really hope this system doesn't keep track of how many times I personally clicked on this image as I was passing by. It has a "soft" feel to it that is appropriate for the subject matter and the position of the model compliments the shape of the window. Nice photo.

I'm sure that others will vote this lower than I do - mainly because of the out of focus plant life in the background and the lack of definition on the fence wire in the foreground. Never-the-less, those eyes, those little pin feathers all around the face, the exquisite detail ... you gotta love it. And, although it has a hint of tone to it, I love black and whites - or single color and white images.
