About 1.1 to 1.3 meters across and 80 meters long, this narrow street manages to squeeze its way between old buildings. Since the XVII-th century it provides useful passage, connecting two main streets. The shot was done under overcast condition, since I preffered the much softer shadows along the street. One entrance is actually through a portal in a building, with the shadow underneath as the makeshift "framing"...
Unsharp mask, rotate, resize, crop.

Oh, man! What is it about these small, European-type streets that make them so attractive? I love the dark framing, the feeling of looking "into" a smaller picture within the larger framework, the detail in the bricks, the walls, the lights and the roof tiles. The contrast of the light pastel colors and the dark black foreground walls works very well also. Nice image.

YOu have a very nice center to thiis image. The frame part is a bit large for me though. NIce texture in the brick floor - adds some mystery.

I really like this image. The arched frame 'blends' into the scene beautifully. The rest of the scene curves tantalisingly inwards towards the arch at the end of the street. Nice contrast made by the peachy colouring on the wall with the painting and shelved flower tubs. I just wish there wasn't the sky satellite dish there! Still, that's not your fault. An 8

Salutari din Brasov :) .... Sincer sa fiu ar fi trebuit sa prinzi o zi mai insorita pentru a fotografia Strada Sforii ... parerea mea ...
Mult succes.

Interesting how something so mundane can be so beautiful from the right perspective. Good work! Good luck on the challenge.

I am not sure why, but there is something very appealing about this photo. This is in my top 10 and I think it is because it has a simplicity but there is also something a little mysterious about the image. Or maybe it is just me:) In any case, wonderful shot.

This might have benefitted from B&W or duotones?
