it has probably already been said, but I will say it anyway....this is a good capture of a bird in flight, but the background kust looks like bokeh rather than motion panning.
and that could hurt your score.
I should know, it's hurting mine :-)

the motion panning is certainly captured in this picture.
And it had me looking at the picture for quite some time.
But unfortunately not in a good way.
I was trying to work out what I didn't like about the picture!
Sorry.
Anyway, the best I could come up with is that it is just a picture of a couple of dudes doing silly tricks on motorbikes and that just doesn't appeal to me.
The background is good though :-)

I suppose the crop is close on the swimmer to eliminate the other entrants in the race?
But I think the inclusion of others would serve well to give the race more meaning.
Also, it seems a bit "claustrophobic" in the frame.
The old adage of "give the person some space to swim into" would work well here.
