e x p a n s i v e by Ja-9Comment: What I like:
- Excellent framing
What I don't like:
- Use of HDR makes the trees look fake
- low saturation of the bricks.
Overall: Framed beautifully, but I'm not a big fan of the HDR here. I would have liked the HDR more if the detail of the bricks/ color of bricks had come through more. |

Autumn Lawnby westfordComment: By no fault of your own, this is the third shot I've seen on the same theme. So my comments feel a bit recycled. That said, I do like this shot best of the three "Dying leaves/ Growing grass" shots I've seen so far. |

A lawn is nature under totalitarian rule.by jjbeguinComment: What I like:
- the grass, it looks almost like a painting. Very abstract. I would have loved it if the man wasn't in the frame, lol. This is mainly because the pattern of the grass has so much great visual appeal and the man breaks that (which I think was your point by the title.)
What I didn't like:
- That the man's top half is chopped out of frame
- His placement in top right is unsettling (which I think was on purpose, so I guess this comment could be considered an overall positive.)
Overall: unsettling shot. |

still snow in Canadaby fngood83Comment: What I like: the title made me laugh.
What I don't like:
- I'm having a hard time putting my finger on what seems off with this picture for me. I guess it comes down to the subject of the photo (the dead grass and snow) just aren't that visually interesting.
- I don't like how the tops of the trees were clipped out of the shot.
Overall: good exposure to capture both the lights and darks in this shot. Did you use HDR? |

Weeds Ruleby grahamgatorComment: What I like:
- Framing
- focus/ DOF
What I don't like:
- The color of the flowers seems off. Not sure if they are suppose to be yellow or white. As is, they match the background bokeh color a bit too closely and kind of fad into it.
Overall: perhaps this would have been a better shot with use of a reflector to bounce some more light onto the flowers... Although I've never used reflectors on something so close to the ground before... Perhaps a small hand mirror with a coating of hair spray or a thin sheet of wax paper over it would have done the trick. |

lawnby mrbig65Comment: What I like:
- The stillness of the trees
- That flog in the background
- I'd normally complain about the saturation of the color, but in this picture the over saturation works to add an other worldly feel to this lawn.
What I don't like
- If I'm picking, the train in the background (or whatever building that is?) Not sure if a change of angle would have been possible with this shot.
OVerall: my "don't like" was a super nit pick. This is a great shot. |

California Nouveauby GeneralEComment: What I like:
- The contrast between the theme (Lawn) and the truth this picture depicts.
What I don't like:
- If I wasn't aware of the theme, this picture would lose a lot of it's punch.
Overall:
- Great reminder of the state of things, but without context, this picture loses significants. |

the green green grass of home!by GilesComment: What I like:
- Wow. It made me blink twice when the pic popped up on my screen.
What I don't like:
- I'm speechless still
Overall: super interesting bathroom/ lawn. Looks straight out of National Geographic. |

Springtime in Istanbulby Bear_MusicComment: What I like:
- the colors in this picture and the archetecture are wild.
What I don't like:
- While there is a lot of lawn in this photo, the people, fountains and the buildings steal the show.
Overall:
- There is a lot going on in this photo and it's lack of focus distracts from the beauty of each individual thing. |
