What̢۪s not to like about this great photo? Nothing... There have been many of them shown on this site. What would have garnered a better score? Not the colors they are excellent, the focus is there too... maybe the setting? I took a picture for my neighbor of her pet bird that escaped with a telephoto lens as it was perched up high in the branches of my Redwood Tree, she said that they were better than any of the many she had taken.... there is something about a natural backdrop that tends to enhance any picture IMHO.

Without a doubt this is an excellent photo. It only lacks for me that something special I was looking for in a Master of masters challenge. When I look at my Bald Eagle shots I could only hope to achieve one like this! Very well done.

Had to bump this up for the emotion it conveys. I never prefer shots of captivity... yet sometimes the story comes through... where this taken in the 'wilds' I would perceive a completely different concern on the mothers face. This is a great picture.
