contrast.jpgby Travis99Comment: Personally I would have given this an 8 or 9. IMO I think it fits the high contrast challenge really well and is very well compossed. |

bumpby visaksenComment: IMO nothing in this photo suggests high contrast. The flat light doesn't do much for this photo. Good luck in this challenge. <4> |

Vividby mocabelaComment: The portrait of the model fills the frame nicely. The glasses on the right eye of the model is making it hard to look at. It gives a double eye look, kinda like looking at someone with a cockeye and not knowing which eye to look at when talking to them. I really wished I could have seen both eyes as there is a nice green tone in them that is highlighted by the blouse(sorry if thats spelled wrong but I am a guy). I do like how the neck strap draws the eyes into the clevage area and right into a very high contrast part. The pinkish hue from the check tends to be a nice touch in another high contrast area and softens the look of the red hair. The model overall does have great sex appeal but perhaps could have place the left hand below the waist as to not have it in the shot. The photo definately sparked a response and has both excellent color and clarity and fits the challenge well. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <6>
My appologies if I've picked apart your model or photo but this is what I see when I looked at it in hopes that what I say will help you correct things in the future or for future portraits. Can't wait to see you in the next self color portrait challenge. |

'Round the Bendby jseyerleComment: When cranking up the contrast with the slider I find you tend to lose clarity as is displayed in this photo. I do like the photo overall and I find it is well composed just not fond of the choice in being processed this way. Perhaps a B&W conversion would have changed it??? (just a suggestion) I really like the colors in the photo and find they do pop. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <6> |

Sail awayby stupotComment: The horizon is on a slant and makes the photo look distractingly uneven. A 1 or 2 degree rotation CW would have corrected this. I also find the photo to be very grainy/noisy. Good luck in this challenge. <4> |

Man In A Parkby BrianRComment: I fail to see the connection to his challenge. Perhaps you could explain it to me VIA PM for a better understanding.
As for he photo itself there appears to be some nasty camera shake or blur in this photo. |

Bikeby charmayneComment: Good subject and great clarity. This will be the next way peple travel with these gas prices. I think the title suits the photo very well and I don't usually take titles into consideration but in this case it fits so well I have to. Well done and good luck in this challenge. <9> |
