Greetings from the Critique Club:
This will be a short critique, because I think you achieved what you wanted with this image and it works well.
The only observation I'll make is that a viewer will look into the eyes of the subject first, and it is unsettling to have one pupil missing. It gives something of a vacuous look, which I'm not sure you want to have happen, especially with that complementary title.
That said, continue doing the good work you are doing. |

| To me there are some good contrast areas (especially around the eye), but other areas seem very similar in color (hair, shirt). Nice portrait though. |

| I've seen your other pictures of her, which are terrific, but I don't think this one showcases your talent as a photographer or hers as a subject. The pupil-less eye covered by her hair has an undead, zombie like look to it and her open mouth expression is also not a complementary expression. I do like the toning on the image, but not much else. |

| Nice lighting, good contrast, so meets challenge well. Facial expression of the model seems a bit odd...with her looking so off to the side, her hair covers her left eye..making it unappealing. |

| IMO if you had pulled the contrast back (-20) just enough to bring the lips back into image the remainder would have looked after itself.....8 |
