Steve and Dange by the Hearthby banmornComment: Nothing can get between a man and his dog, and a great photo to show that!
My only suggestion is that the background seems to be more in focus than the man or dog, which makes me pay more attention to the background. |

Brrrrrrby gadionComment: A warm face for such a cold day. My only issue is wish her face was a bit brighter, she is basically darker than the rest of the photo so I keep seeing my eyes wander to the highlight on her coat etc. Maybe a tighter crop, or dodge/burn type of thing to help bring out her face, and maybe lower the focus on the snow around her. |

The drovers workplaceby LadComment: There are often so many sunsets that I tend to say Oh Hummm another one. However this one caught my eye. One reason is I always like to see the rays of light, which are just barely visible, but really I liked the play between the sun and the trees, gives it a nice perspective and not another boring ocean. This is probably the highest rating I've given a sunset. Thanks for sharing. |

Frankieby MikeOComment: I love kids at this age, and I love some of the expressions you can capture during this time. Thanks for the smile.
From a score point of view, I think the photo would have been better if it lost some of that room above his head, and showed more of the cut off hand. But I love the natural light use here, as I often have taken photos in the same conditions. Background doesn't bother me to much cause I understand that you'll probably never get such a great smile in a more controlled setting. |

The Terrace Viewby AllenPComment: Like the choice of black and white here, probably to much going on if it was in color, instead we can enjoy the sun hitting the clouds and the effect it gives. |

Surrendered by LVicariComment: the desaturated look + snow = very cold and lonely. Or maybe just forgotten. Either way well framed, nice use of the colors and detail to capture a possible of several stories depending on what one might be looking for. |

Flyby JulietNNComment: would have been a good for for "shooting into the light". though it looks like he is diving onto the rocks below, I like the strong contrast. |
