It must have taken you forever to get this right. It has a nice composition and I can see details thru most of the light petals but they do seem a little overexposed. Maybe it's bcause they are naturally so light.

Beautiful rainbow and excellent use of dof. I think this is one of the ones that would look better in full color. For this challenge, I don't understand why part of the grass was left green. The posts aren't so bad because it brings attention to the destruction and I like the softened effect on the upright one.

Super contrast. Really well taken. Proper use of desaturation. The title brings it all together into a neat package. Just enough of the grass shows to let the viewer know that they are looking at the outside of the building.

It's a well taken picture and such a handsome dog. There is a little to much noise for my tastes but that is more of a camera thing. I do question the reverse desat choice. The color draws my eyes first to the heart.

I like the wool sweater and the texture of the fibers. I'm sorta stumped about what the lavender thing is. It looks like plastic, but my mind keeps telling me the sweater should be hanging up. Sorry. It's probably my own fault that I can't understand this.

The red is nice and I like the rainbow wings and the fly does seem to be as well focused as your camera probably would allow. I see the problem as coming from the leaf. It makes it look as if the picture had been cropped too much or you used the digital part of the zoom function. Whatever happened, the leaf looks lumpy and bumpy from causes not from the texture of the leaf itself.

I think I would really like this if it was fully color or b/w. Good range of focus(looks slightly soft) and proper placement of the farmhouse. The tower in the upper left might have been cloned out for a more rural feel. I do see black blacks and white whites it's just that all the grays seem to be the same, leaving a feeling of tonal flatness.

Just beautiful. Perfect for the challenge. The slight overexposure on the outside works to erase the details that might disturb the play between light and dark and the wall that separates them.

I like this one. It looks like the water is giving them their substance while the b/w gives them a dangerous and gloomy appearance.

When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple

That's my friends favorite poem. I like how the title really ties in with the photo and you did the technique properly. It seems to me that the exposure was off or there was too much post processing done. The grays in the foreground are dull and the water and other bank are overexposed. If I was working on this one, I would have created a duplicate layer and erased the woman and the foreground (or created a mask) and blended the light portions with a multiply mode. That would have at least given a more even tonal value to the picture. But then again, what am I thinking?
