If a picture of a hole is boreing in color, what makes you think it looks better with most of the color missing?? I sure hope you do better in your other hobbies.

Just beautiful. Perfect for the challenge. The slight overexposure on the outside works to erase the details that might disturb the play between light and dark and the wall that separates them.

Good contrast. I think I might have tried cropping out the left side.

nice job with the bricks, but the blown highlights are very distracting. I can see how this shot would be a tough one to get an even tonal range on, given the very dark area in shadow.

Beautiful shot and composition. Certain areas seem a bit overexposed though, such as the bottom left and the post on the right side of the hole. An image like this should feel dark and dreary but this feels bright and cheery.

Cool. Tighter crop on the right would give more impact.

Good choice of subject as it shows the qualities that this technique has for drawing the eye straight to the points of interest.

I love the feeling that there is color covered over by all the gray. The highlights are a bit over exposed for my taste but over all I liked this photo very much.

Very impressive! Overexposing the bottom/right-hand part really helps in bringing focus to the bricks. The color combination of the bricks with the B&W is also very effective. 8

I would have preferred the original brick colors.
