Last Year's Resolutionby myqylComment: This is an interesting black and white study. I like all the dirt and grime, and the texturing on the wall and floor. It's an interesting commentary on our modern consumer society (if you want to get all cerebral about it :)).
It lacks something though. The photo is overall a little bit too grey, and I think I would like the shadows to be slightly longer and stronger to life the exercise equpiment from its surroundings more. The composition seems a bit too formal and static... some strong diagonal lines would help it along. Nice work though. |

Primary Swirlsby CreativeFlyPhotoComment: Gorgeous! I love the composition here, just ordered enough to work but just loose enough not to look too staged and static. The interplay of light and colour is beautiful. The DOF gives it some nice depth, and I especially like that there are little flecks of dust... perfection makes me feel uneasy. I'm giving it 10! |

Morning Shadowby tjuneau13Comment: This is a very atmospheric image. It definitely puts me in that early morning mood. I'm the kind of person who can be hypnotised by shadows on walls, especially when they're as lovely as this. The colours here are beautiful and warm. I think I would have liked more of the chair to be in the photo, though. As it is, it draws my eyes out of the photo, looking for the rest of the chair. Nice work, otherwise. |

Face-to-Face In the Snowby magnetic9999Comment: Wow, cute!!! It looks like you have a low res camera or you cropped this a lot, but that doesn't worry me. What an adorable, pink little nose :). The composition couldn't be any better, the DOF works well to blur the tree trunk and draw your eyes to the squirrel. The snow in the background has just enough texture and colour variation to avoid being stark, but isn't a distraction. Very good work :). I'm giving it 10 for pushing all the right buttons so well. |

Angel's flightby catpixelComment: I love the silhouettes here, of the angel statue against the delicate, beautiful bare trees and the bird. The positioning of the sun behind the statue is great. But something about the composition spoils it a little. I think all it needs is a slightly tighter crop, and it would be wonderful.
The dark tones also seem slightly grey to me. Some levels adjustment would give it just that extra bit of depth and contrast to increase the impact of the silhouettes. Nice work otherwise. |

Christmas Time Is Hereby jenaromComment: This definitely has that "wow" factor everyone talks about :). The red ball against the pure white background is perfect. I love the yellow hot spot on it. I'm sure a lot of people will say the needles of the pine tree should all be in focus, but I love the DOF you've used! The overall effect has a subtle resemblance to a watercolour painting. It would be great on a Christmas card (I'm sure a lot of other people are saying that too!) |

Vaelen Confronts Darknessby HBunchComment: Hmmm... nice lighting, and interesting composition. Fantasy genre stuff isn't my thing, but I appreciate that you have achieved something interesting here. |

Bloomingdales Candid 1by smellyfish1002Comment: It's amazing the way you caught the parallel between the guy's profile and whatever is in the background! Beautiful, rich tones, and great diffuse lighting on the guy's face. The framing/composition is tight. I like it a lot! 10. |

Maybe I Can Sneak Into DPC2by GeneralEComment: Cute portrait, well lit, well exposed, well focussed, well framed. It's technically very good, and you deserve to be proud. It lacks a bit of interest for me personally, but still worth an objective 9 just for being so good! |
