Composition : Great use of a repeating pattern breaking ranks, with the rightmost marble elevated a smidgen above the others. I have to admit that I am also distracted by the fibers on the marbles surface.

Exposure/Lighting : Largely wonderful. There seems to have been a strong light shinning from the upper left that distracted a little bit, but not overly much.

Focus : Excellent. I think you made very effective use of DoF and you had a nice sharp focus where it belonged :)

Opinion : I liked this image quite a bit. Simple ideas are often the best ideas. But I do think you may have wanted to buff them up a bit with a lint free cloth :)

You may know better than I but the light seems a littleunderstated. The lint is distracting too.

This is a nice crop for this photo. Good colors, too. A nit-picky comment: for macros, I am distracted by any little piece of dirt or dust. My eye traveled to the dust on the top of the marbles. Not a big deal by any means, but you may want to consider it. Otherwise, good job.

Nice composition here. The lighting seems a bit off to me - too much on the left side and not quite enough on the right. Nice details, Nice colors. = 6

Gorgeous! I love the composition here, just ordered enough to work but just loose enough not to look too staged and static. The interplay of light and colour is beautiful. The DOF gives it some nice depth, and I especially like that there are little flecks of dust... perfection makes me feel uneasy. I'm giving it 10!

Composition is OK. The lighting is a bit harsh. The dust on the marbles is distracting. Your macro is nice and the sharpening and colors are true. I just would like to see a little more interesting of a composition.

Nice shot. Very colorful. So can a picture be too well focused? The little hairs on the marbles prove to be distracting in the light. The last marble on the right might be better left out as well. DPz

Please try and get these marbles to Mousie asap. He is suffering from catastropic marble shortage.

Good choice of subject matter in this shot, but I feel that it has let down in several areas - the lighting is very bright and has blown out some of the highlights, the main surface and background are a bit distracting, and the marble with some interesting surface texture (the cracked-looking one in the middle) could have made a good central focal point, if placed closer to the front of the shot.

I like the composition and focus on this picture. Reminds me of my childhood. I don't quite like the dark area on the background and the hot spot on one of the marbles, as I feel distract a little. Good luck!

This photo could be improved with clean surfaces; dust and dirt in macro shots, to me, is very distracting.

The dust on the marbles takes away from the picture a bit. Aside from that it's a great macro shot. I like the lighting overall not bad.

i like the idea and nice color. the lighting could be more even so that the marble on the right fits in better.

I really like marble shots, but your background is a little distracting to me. Also, I can see dust and small fibers on the marbles. The colors and swirls are wonderful, though, and your method of lighting them works very well.

Very interesting subject. the colors are very nice, as are the patterns. The angle and framing/cropping you have chosen is good as well. I really like the tiny photo. isn't it nice to not have the size limitation? The little sun star under the marble to the bottom right is nice. focus is good as well. nice shot. good luck in the challenge.
